Awarded by Energinet, a state-owned business, the contract carries a value of Skr900m.
Construction of this project is scheduled to commence in mid-2024, with its completion anticipated in 2026.
The new head office is being constructed next to Energinet’s current offices.
It will cover an area of approximately 27,000m² and comprise 900 workspaces, a canteen, and conference rooms.
NCC Building Nordics head Catarina Molén-Runnäs said: “NCC, in partnership with architects and advisers, has produced a well thought-out and detailed proposal for a modern and efficient office building that will seamlessly connect with the existing office.

By GlobalData“It is gratifying that Energinet chose our solution and we look forward to constructing this solid building.â€
The new office will be built partly of wood, including wood floors and pillars.
It will draw inspiration from projects such as the Danish Building and Property Agency’s WoodHub office in Odense, Denmark, also being built by NCC using the same team of architects and advisers.
The company aims for the building to achieve German Sustainable Building Council Gold certification.
It will register the order in its Building Nordics business segment during the fourth quarter of this year.
The deal comes shortly after NCC announced its plans to partner with Region Gävleborg to renovate and expand Gävle Hospital’s entry building, Hus 60, in Sweden last month.
